Nanas Red Beans and Rice

Ingredients
- 1 lb. dry red kidney beans
- 1 medium onion- diced
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 2 tsp. Salt
- 2 tsp. Chili powder - she prefers the Mexine brand
- 2 packages of pepperoni
- 3 cups of water
- Rice
Directions
- Soak the beans overnight or quick soak per package directions.
- Rinse beans and put in the crockpot with all the other ingredients EXCEPT the rice.
- Cook on high (in a Crock Pot) for 5-6 hours or low for approximately 8 hours, until beans are soft.
- Cook rice separately and serve.
Time: about 5-6hrs
